The SIP Variable Speed Midi Wood Lathe is ideal for those seeking a robust and reliable wood lathe to accurately shape, turn, drill and sand pieces to the desired specification. A perfect starter lathe for home enthusiasts or second lathe for advanced turners making smaller pieces, its designed to maximise stability whilst turning. This includes a cast iron bed, mounted headstock and tailstock - both supplied with MT1 tapers. Supplied with 100mm face plate, 4-prong drive centre, revolving tailstock and 2x tool rests. Powering the headstock is an electronic variable speed motor which runs between 500rpm and 3500rpm. 3/4" x 16TPI spindle thread size. 305mm max. turning diameter (432mm between centres) enables a variety of woodwork projects and jobs. Thermal cut-off switch for improved safety when the lathe is in operation. Spindle speed can be easily adjusted using the control dial for greater accuracy, whilst a digital panel displays the headstock spindle speed.
