It is this lignin which is used to make our wheatgrass polymer keyboards, mice, speakers, earphones etc. Lignin is broken down by bacteria and mixed with natural sugars to create a workable material which has a lot of the features of plastic without the added artificial chemicals and without using fossil fuels.
